Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Clinical guidelines for urgent treatment of life-threatening cardiovascular conditions.
The ACLS builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high quality CPR. This course will demonstrate proficiency in providing BLS care, including prioritizing chest compressions and integrating use of AED. Will teach how to recognize and manage respiratory arrest, manage cardiac arrest until termination of resuscitation or transfer of care including post cardiac arrest care.
Prior to taking the class. You are required to complete pre-course self-assessment and pre-course work before taking the course. Please go to https://elearning.heart.org/course/424. Passing score is 70%.
Once completed, bring a copy of your certificate with you in the class. Prior to taking the ACLS class, you will need to be BLS certified. If you need to have your BLS renewed as well, please let us know in advance so we can incorporate it in your class with an additional fee of $90.
AHA requires that each student should bring a BLS provider manual with them to the class. If you do not have a book, please purchase one from World Point www.WorldPoint.com/en/Training-Centers/NIHE and purchase BLS Provider Manual for the class in either digital format or hardcopy format to be mailed to you prior to going to the class. This is a mandatory requirement from the American Heart Association to ensure that students get all the adequate information and receive training accordingly.

2. Pre-assessment course
3. Current unexpired BLS card
ACLS Update/Renewal
This course is open to all current or future healthcare providers (Medical students, Nursing Students or Paramedics) who will be working with patient who are experiencing cardiopulmonary emergency. This class consists of a review of the new ACLS Guidelines and limited practice for the ACLS Skills. You are expected to be able to identify the ECG for the common arrhythmias such as heart blocks and different vetricular tachycardias.
