PALS Courses
Pediatric Advanced Life Support
This class is intended for healthcare providers or future healthcare providers (Medical Students, Nursing students, Paramedics) who are taking care or will be taking care of pediatric patient population.
This is a renewal class for those who have current/unexpired PALS provider. Please note that you are required to complete a pre-course self-assessment & pre-course work prior to going to the class.
PALS Class
This course is open to all students with a current or expired PALS provider card or who needs to take the initial class.
The American Heart Association PALS course is designed to provide pediatric healthcare providers or future healthcare providers with the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critically ill infants and children and help improve outcomes. The PALS course covers: pediatric emergencies, concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, BLS, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics.
PALS training is intended for professionals who must be credentialed as a requirement for doing their jobs, including: pediatricians, emergency room, family, and other physicians, physician assistants, nurses and nurse practitioners, paramedics, pediatric intensive care and critical care providers, other providers required to initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies. All students will complete all of the mandatory and optional skills to meet the AHA requirements. Students must pass a written exam and skills test in order to qualify for an AHA PALS Provider Course Completion Card.
Prior to taking the class. You are required to complete pre-course self-assessment and pre-course work before taking the course. Please go to https://elearning.heart.org/course/426 for PALS pre-course assessment and pre-course work. Passing score is 70%. Once completed, bring a copy of your certificate with you in the class.
AHA requires that each student should bring an PALS provider manual with them to the class. If you do not have a book, please purchase one directly from AHA https://shopcpr.heart.org/pals-provider-manual-ebook and purchase PALS Provider Manual for the class. This is a mandatory requirement from the American Heart Association to ensure that students get all the adequate information and receive training accordingly.
48 hour cancellation is required to get 50% refund or to get free re-scheduling of your class. Provider approved by CA Board of Registered Nursing Provider#17797 for 6 Contact Hours for Renewal and 14 Contact Hours for Initial Class.
